The Royal Oak
For any descendants looking in - Alfred's pub The Royal Oak has been purchased and there is an application for planning permission to demolish it and build a Co-op.
At the time of my posting this has not yet been granted and the pub is still open though the bars have been knocked through to form one large bar so it is not as he would have known it.
I have interior photos taken about 3 years ago showing the Art Deco panelling in the Saloon bar and will gladly pass them on to anyopne interested.
