Date and place of birth: either 1796 [based on age at burial] or 1806 [based on age at 1841 census] born in Gloucestershire [according to 1841 census]
Names of parents: Not known
Date and place of baptism: Not known
Married: Eliza DEAN 12 Jul 1824 Southwark St Saviour, Surrey by Banns. Both of the parish, both single. Witnesses: James Rumment[?] and Mary Dean.
[If born 1806 – then he would have been just 18 at marriage. Eliza was born 1801 Gloucestershire]

1826 Gardener
1829 Shop keeper
1832 Innkeeper
1836-9 Publican

On son’s marriage certificate in 1851 his occupation is given as Carpenter [but was dead by this time so could be fabricated]

1829 – Shurdington, Gloucestershire [baptism of child]

Date of Death: 11 August 1843 at Great Shurdington
Death Certificate states he was 47 years old, an Innkeeper and cause of death was "Decline".
Date and place of burial: 17 Aug 1843, Shurdington, Glos, aged 47.

I have to confess that I last looked at this line pre-internet days, when I decided a crystal ball would be needed to get any further Listing this out has inspired me to have a fresh look at this line. I still cannot find his baptism on the IGI. Perhaps I should get the death certificate to see why he died so young.
