I've had a similar experience but not through a DNA test. I went to a family funeral and all grandchildren of the deceased stood up to speak. Not a problem except there were 8 grandchildren and 9 people standing up.
As you say it was a bit complicated but I'm glad that grandchild 9 has been discovered.
