Mary Louisa is not one of mine as the Mother's maiden surname would be Shelly. The family lived in the Salisbury / Downton / Charlton area.
Then William married his second wife in 1865 in St Mary Redcliffe, Bristol. On the marriage certificate he is shown as a Bachelor. (I have come across this on other occasions when the man was actually a widower). His occupation is recorded as Miner but he was a gardener previously and in subsequent censuses. His Father was Henry Goodridge which is correct.

I had previously discounted this 2nd marriage but DNA results have made me change my mind as matches have ancestors to children of this second and his third marriage in 1887.

Although I agree that the transcript is probably incorrect, the transcriber must have got the name from somewhere and that is why I was looking for a scan of the death in Alderbury.

Thank you for looking.
