From Ancestry Index to Griffith’s Valuation, 1848-1864:

Name: Cornelius Lundrigan
Location: Cork, Brigown, Knocknamuck

I think you can find out a bit more via Irish Origins: http://www.irishorigins.com/

Irish Origins is a subscription site, but you can view Griffiths Valuation and maps free here:

You can also look for the marriage and Cornelius's birth on the parish records here (pay per view):

or on the new FamilySearch site:

There is a death registration for a Hannah Londrigan here, age 54 in 1871 - perhaps her grandmother or some other relative?

All right..................I'm going mad. How did you lot find those?????????? I've been googling everthung and everywhere since I bought Hannah's marriage cert from NZ about 5 years ago.....lol

Thanks.....by the way.......I'm off to have a look.

I don't know how rare his name would have been, but I can't help noticing there's someone of the same name marrying in Bristol in 1848. He doesn't seem to be here (ie in England) on any census though! Just thought he might be connected as Bristol is probably the nearest English port to Cork.

When I checked the Irish parish records, there were a couple of Cornelius Londrigan/Londriguns if I remember rightly, and half a dozen others with similar names.

Griffiths Valuation index hasn't been on Ancestry for very long - a year at most, I think.

Interestingly, only one family of that surname that I could find in the 1911 Irish census -
