Richard's eldest son was named Thomas and his second daughter was named Hannah. There is a Thomas Oswold / Osweld marriage to a Hannah Milsum 27 May 1751 at St Thomas, Bristol. Could these be Richard's parents? There are a couple of possible burials for Thomas at St Philip & St Jacob, Bristol - 14 Apr 1762 or 1 Jul 1764, surname Oswell, and a possible for Hannah 6 Aug 1753 also at St Philip & St Jacob - Hannah Oswald from St Stephens parish. But I haven't found Richard's baptism yet.

Thomas and Hannah had a daughter Lettice baptised 8 Apr 1753 at St Augustine, Bristol. Lettice / Laetitia married an Isaac Roach 17 Nov 1771 at St George, Bristol, and one of their witnesses was Henry Pearce, who was also a witness at Richard's first wedding, also at St George, Bristol. I have looked through a few pages of the marriage register and Henry Pearce doesn't seem to be one of those people who witnesses all the weddings, but just from a quick peek.

There is a Bristol apprenticeship record for Thomas Oswald, dated 14 Aug 1745, apprenticed to Edmond Gemond, sailmaker, and his father was Richard Oswald, gentleman, of Bromley, Herefordshire. So it is looking likely that Thomas was my Richard's father, since he would likely have named his son after his own father.
