Is this her in 1881?

Place of birth is different. You will know if any of those people are her children.

Maybe not. This is the same woman in 1871 and her husband is still alive. Yours is a widow in 1861

Thanks for looking but no not her.

I only checked her death today and I think that must be her with the age and being in Docking. I thought she'd died between 1861 and 1871 because she had a son William living with her and he ends up in the workhouse 1871 and he is labelled lunatic from birth poor soul. http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...26pgPLz0q3dpid

Her husband William died in 1857.

So I had assumed that because the son William was in the workhouse in 1871 Mary had certainly died because it looks like she'd looked after him most of his life. I hadn't looked for death recently since the deaths had been transcribed to be honest until today.

So either it's not her death or she is around somewhere in 1871 and probably died just before the 1881 census. Looks like William the son got to much to look after it looks like he never worked and collected parish funds before he is labelled idiot on the 1851 and on the 1861 his rank/profession is Almsman (idiot)!

That death could also be the woman on the 1871 and 1881 census

Nothing on FreeBMD though

The death registered in Freebridge Lynn in 1868 could be her. The only reason I say this is because Mary had a son Robert Clarke Cook whose death is registered there in 1864 and I suppose she may have been with his family.

Thats the only reason I have though.

Could be, just looked at a map and it's not that far from Docking
