Rootsweb security leak

Anyone with a Rootsweb ID might want to have a look at this, especially if you use the same credentials on Ancestry:

Thanks, Mary. Scratching my head to remember whether I ever signed up there or not. I have a note to myself of a user name and password for RootsChat.com from long ago. Wonder if that would lead also to RootsWeb? They've taken RootsWeb offline temporarily, so I guess I'll wait for it to come back and then see if they know me.

As far as I know, Roots Chat isn't connected to Roots Web.

Thank you, Kite.

I've used rootsweb years ago but I haven't received an email so I guess I'm safe.

I have no idea what email I would have used back then either.

Tried to get onto rootsweb but was unable to do so.

Have used rootsweb for years and its connected to my ancestry account so can see the threads I've subscribed to and it comes up if theres been a reply even years later.

Have changed my ancestry name, password and email address which now means I won't be able to see the list of messages subscribed to on rootsweb which is a shame.
