Burials at Greinton:

27 April 1820 William Burch aged 43
10 June 1827 William Burch infant
15 May 1829 William Burch aged 20
5 August 1871 William Burch aged 33

Would the first one fit your William? Therefore he would have been born. c. 1777.

anne fraser 18-06-11 16:20

oh thanks for that. I have seen the list without the ages. Mary was born about 1778 so the first one would fit nicely. I have already accounted for number 4 a grandson and number 3 could be an older child.

ElizabethHerts 18-06-11 16:23

Would this be Mary's burial?

11 Feb 1854 Mary Burch aged 78

ElizabethHerts 18-06-11 16:25

Are there any other names you would like me to check, Anne?

anne fraser 18-06-11 16:35

Yes that's Mary's burial I have her death certificate. If it is easy to check I wonder if there are any more infant Burch deaths in Grenton between 1802 and 1820. John born 1814 seems to have inherited a farm and Jane about 1817 is my ancestor but it seems strange not to have older children.

ElizabethHerts 18-06-11 16:44

Anne, it's odd because there are burials from 1749 to 1775, and then a big gap until your William in 1820, followed by the two I gave you for Williams for 1827 and 1829.

The next one is a burial for John BUrch aged 2 in 1845, then nothing until Mary in 1854.

thanks for looking.
