I'm pretty sure it is the same stuff that is on the CD-ROM which has been available for quite a while, but nice to have it online.

Probably more useful there: I have a large stock of these, but don't like to suggest people buy them unless fairly certain their ancestor will appear.

It is an excellent source as virtually none of these local registers survive and it will cover a few people whose records were amongst those burnt in WW2.

I just noticed there are other military records added to findmypast today as well:

and

Paddington Rifles 1860-1912
