I need to research a birth in Northern Ireland in 1933. Where am I likely to find it?

I don't think you can search for birth entries online if they are were less than 100 years ago.

Marriages 75 years
Deaths 50 years

It’s for a friend, I’m doing her tree and that is her mothers side. Oh well, never mind.

I wonder why NI has different rules to England and Wales

It might be worthwhile registering though, I am registered but I have forgotten my password.

I am sure I have searched for births in the last 100 years but maybe I am getting confused with the Irish site.
