I would like some opinions about the baptisms of Michael and Elizabeth's children please. There are four baptisms to a Michael and Elizabeth Moore, watchmaker at St Luke's Old St, 1778, 1782, 1784 and 1788.
There are another three at St Leonard's Shoreditch to a Michael and Elisabeth(neighbouring parish) in 1776, 1780 and 1787. These do not state father's occ but give place of abode which is different each time. Would you agree that these are all the same family? There's no other obvious marriage between a Michael Moore and and Elizabeth in the right time frame. The earliest baptism is for a Joseph Michael which would fit with the possible father of Michael but am I trying too hard to make it work?

Just to add to the confusion, there is also a William Moore, son of Michael and Elizabeth, baptised at St Luke Chelsea 8 Jun 1778. I wouldn't think he belongs to your family as it is just before Michael jr's baptism at St Luke Old Street. But I don't think you can be sure the St Leonard Shoreditch ones belong to the Old Street family without more proof.

Joseph Michael Moore got married at St Leonard Shoreditch 29 May 1797, of this parish, to a Mary Prister, if that's any help.

Thanks for linking ToG3 for me - I completely forgot, sorry. Must do better next time!

I don't think the Chelsea baptism is one of mine, not for any sound reasoning I must admit but as you say it is very close to Michael jnr's.

I looked at the Joseph Michael marriage earlier today. The witnesses were of no help at all and I can't see any children for them yet either.
