Edward and Emma Riel

Edward Riel and Emma Bound marry in Shoreditch in 1886 http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...=try&h=3377945
then they disappear. However there is an Edward Riel on the Canadian Immigrant Records, Part 1 (Ancestry) and Canadian census records for both names in Ontario. I don't have a Worldwide sub for Ancestry and cannot view these, would sks soul take a look for me and see if it is them? Emma was born in Mitcham, Surrey but I don't know whether the Canadian records go into that much detail.

Thankyou

Here is a free record on FamilySearch to confirm it is the same family:

And here is a free copy of the 1901 Canadian census entry (they are at the bottom of the page)

They were in Quebec on that one.

1891 Canadian census, also in Quebec:

Oh, thank you, Kite. I've done very little Canadian research and hadn't even thought to look on Family Search or for other free records - schoolgirl error!

By the way, the Canadian Immigrant Records (Part 1) just say that the 1901 census shows them as immigrants to Canada, so wouldn't have been much use without the actual census images.

These are the Riel / Bound births on the GRO online birth index:
Edward Jul-Sep 1886 Wandsworth
Alice Emily Oct-Dec 1887 Wandsworth
Lily Emma Jan-Mar 1889 Wandsworth

Alice Emily died Jul-Sep 1889 Wandsworth, age 1.

Thanks again Kite. That's a great help :)

Sue, Googling "Edward Riel" "Thunder Bay" brought up some interesting hits.

Oh, interesting, Janet. Will take a closer look later. Thank you ;)
