Isaiah Kingston born 1872 Whitby, Yorkshire, England - died Australia 1908?

Isaiah and his wife Gertrude were in Lewisham, London on the 1901 Census.

Then the hints are coming that he died in 1908 in Victoria, Australia and that he left a will.

Is anyone able to give me a few details, please?

The Australia Death Index has Isiah Kingston died 1908 Yarra Glen, Victoria, age 36, parents Thos Kingston and Susanna Keys. Are those the right parents' names for your Isaiah?

Yes, Kate, thanks!

He was still at Lewisham in 1905. I wonder what happened to Gertrude?

There are two people named Kingston travelling to Sydney 27 Apr 1906 initials I for him and S for her (Ancestry transcription), but could be a G. Have you looked for children born here after 1901? (no children on the passenger list)

Merry 26-05-19 13:02

The passenger list should be the right one as he is listed as a printer and I see he was a compositor in 1901.

Hadn't noticed you had said this!

There's a Mrs G Kingston returning from Australia in 1939 (April) aged 68, but if that's her, I don't see her on the 1939 register if her birth date is 1 Mar 1874 (as recorded on some trees on Ancestry). She probably remarried in Australia.
