no results for Marnie Kirk

Good morning - I have
Ivan William Kirk christened 8th september 1908 in St Michaels church, Garston,Liverpool
father U
mother Marnie Kirk
I can`t find Marnie on any census returns ??
I can only presume she is Scottish - no results on IGI except for the baptism of her son ...
anyone any ideas ??...she is not on freebmd / familysearch/ IGI ..
can only think of Scotlands People and I don`t have a membership...Garston did have a few Americans working here on the Copperworks - but they were men who worked the acids / colouring of the Copper but that was in 1850`s- 1900
bit stuck
cheers

I can't find any birth registration for Ivan, nor can I find him on the 1911 Census.

In the 1901 census, there is a Kirk family in Seaforth, West Derby, who may fit the bill. There is a daughter whose name had been transcribed as Marine on FMP and Mamie on Ancestry, but the image looks more like Marnie. She is a wee bit young, but if she was almost 10 when the census was taken, then a birth in 1908 isn't beyond possibility.

Birch Street, Seaforth

George Kirk, 45, boiler maker, b Gateacre
Mary, 43, b Bootle
Andrew, 23, boiler maker, b Bootle
Elizabeth, 19, b Bootle
David, 16, grocer's errand boy, b Bootle
John, 12, scholar, b Bootle
George, 10, scholar, b Bootle
Marine, 9, scholar, b Bootle
Annie, 7, scholar, b Bootle
Elsie, 5, scholar, b Bootle

That family in Seaforth is the right one. Here they are in 1911 - along with a two-year-old grandson, Ivor William Kirk. No Marnie, though.
