Sussex Archaeological Society has an article on the accounts of the Stapleys of Hickstead which records a payment on 7 Sep 1732 to Francis Juniper of £2 17s 6d for a waggon and work done to it.

His wife Ann was buried 24 Mar 1760 at Cuckfield (as Ann Juniper, widow) She had 9 children bapt at Cuckfield between 1711 and 1729.

Francis senior also gets a mention in 1702 in the journal of Timothy Burrell of Ockenden Manor for making "two hind wheels of the coach" for £1 5s and 8s 6d for a new wheelbarrow, a slide for 5s and a new fore purchass (?) for the coach, all accompanied by a doodle of each item
