Northamptonshire Parish Registers - ancestry

With images. I've only just found out about these. I hope they are planning to add marriages and earlier registers as well?
Northamptonshire Baptisms 1813-1912
Northamptonshire Burials 1813-1912
Northamptonshire Confirmations 1870-1911 (only a few parishes in the confirmations)

I was just coming to post that!

They've uploaded both PRs and BTs.

Hooray :)

Thank you Kiterunner

I wish they'd hurry up with the earlier records, which are what I really need. It's particularly interesting that they have the parishes in the Peterborough area, many of which aren't covered by the available CDs for Northants.

Me too! Though I would have been pretty annoyed if they had included them in this release and I'd only found out about them last thing at night!

At last, the earlier records and the marriages have been added! Unfortunately I only found out late at night and have to get off the computer very soon, but I am looking forward to having a good look tomorrow!

Northamptonshire Marriages 1754-1912

Northamptonshire Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1532-1812

And don't forget, Rutland is included too as Northamptonshire Record Office holds their Bishop's Transcripts.

Also, the post-1812 databases (links in post #1) have been updated.

Thanks, Kate, for reminding us of these.

I just might have found my 5x-great-grandfather's baptism at Grendon.

Woohoo my Kendall family!

I haven't looked yet and I hope I am not disappointed.

Thank you Kite runner for the update.

I've managed to trace my Dry line back a bit further now - turns out that William Dry's wife was Ursula Tybbs, daughter of William Tybbs of Bugbrooke and his wife Alice Judkins, and the Judkyn family are in the Visitation of Northamptonshire 1618-9 which should give me a few more generations!

Ancestry's transcriptions for the early PR's of Milton Malsor are terrible, though - no surnames transcribed for most of the baptisms although they are quite clearly given on the images. I hope most parishes aren't like that.

A huge amount of stuff doesn't seem to have been transcribed at all, but the images are there, so it's worth browsing if you can't find what you want.
