So far I know nothing of his wife Mary.

FamilySearch has a Mary Nobes burial 4 Aug 1776 at Longcott, Berkshire, no age given.

Thankyou, (and apologies for not replying earlier) although I have the Berkshire Burial Index, Longcott doesn't feature burials as early as that. Just to muddy the waters they had a daughter called Mary.
