Mary REPP

Name - "official" name and what they were known as
Mary Repp or RIPP
Date and place of birth
3 Sept 1760, Meeting House Alley, Stepney, Middlesex
Names of parents
Nicholas or John Nicholas RIPP and Mary nee ANDREWS
Date and place of baptism - if applicable
23 Sept 1760, St George in the East, Stepney, Middlesex
Details of each of his or her marriages - if any
1. Married Hans Christian, 17 Jan 1780, St Botolph Aldersgate London. Witnesses Andrew Swiney; William Fountains; James McLearn; Mary Repp; Sarah Webber.
2. Married Richard Gutteridge 7 Sept 1802 St Matthew Bethnal Green.
Strangely, there's a marriage of Richard Gutteridge(widower) to Mary RIPP (widow) 17 Sept 1799 at St George Southwark. Richard Guttridge's signature is the same as on his 1802 marriage to Mary Christian, and the couple were witnesses at the marriage of Mary's sister Sarah a few weeks later. So potentially they went through 2 ceremonies - as I've never found a death for her first husband, perhaps they weren't sure if he was dead.

Thanks very much! That might explain why the last child I could find was born 1792.

There's also a possible Mary Gutteridge death a few years later - the age looks reasonable for her to be Mary. I'll pencil that in for now and hope some evidence turns up...
