Bavarian WW1 soldiers database - ancestry

I noticed it last night, but didn't get around to posting about it before. Sorry, can't post up a link to it at the moment because my laptop won't let me onto ancestry, but maybe some kind person can post a link, please?

I assume you need worldwide or German membership to look at it. I did wonder whether my great-grandfather might be in there but (a) he was living in Berlin at the time of the war, and (b) I don't know whether he fought in the war anyway! I got all excited for a minute thinking I might have found his brother-in-law but I think it was just someone of the same name, born in the same place. Anyway, from the records that I looked at, you might get the names of the soldier's parents and their address, so if you do have Bavarian ancestors or rellies, worth a look.
