1939 Register - missing on the image but included on the transcription

George L Gilliver born 25 Feb 1901 a Coal cutter below ground in Repton R D.

He's on the transcription with the rest of the family but not on the image or it seems in the index.

I can't see how to report this.

I have reported the transcription error for Kathleen's year of birth.

You might be best to email FMP support, Marg, although there is probably nobody there at the moment because of the holidays.

Can you report another person, and then add a written note saying it refers to George? (I've not paid to unlock anything on the Register, so sorry if that's not possible)

I don't think that would work James so I'll do what Kate suggested tomorrow.

I did wonder at first if George was on the previous page, like happens on a census but he doesn't appear in the index either.

Merry 01-01-16 17:47

I hope you get better luck than I did Marg.

Have they still not closed your mothers record? Have you tried contacting TNA about this?

Merry 01-01-16 19:34

No - just a lot of excuses. They keep saying they have to correct her transcription before they can close her record and I keep saying her transcription is correct because I corrected it! lol I expect they mean they need to work out what went wrong with the whole page

They have given themselves 92 days instead of 72 hours to get it right. That time runs out on 28th Jan.

I've not tried TNA - maybe I should, but I'm losing the will to live now!

If fmp don't have it right by the end of Jan the **** will hit the fan!! :D

My great aunt is named born 1915. She passed away in August this year so only just didn't appear and still living.

I'm sure they didn't expect these problems but with the high level of mis transcriptions it was always going to happen.
