The baptism records etc. could be difficult to find if they were Wesleyan.

Shona & Liza I can't thank you enough .. my bil is going to be so chuffed to see this. They have been through and are going through a very difficult time and this is going to mean a great deal. He said how they were very strict Methodists and so this fits the bill completely. (Not sure what they would have thought of the wine we had for dinner tonight .. but then James Hirst, who left quite a sizeable estate, left 1/- to 3 of his children, which might explain why. I am really so delighted to read this as will my nephews. My oldest nephew is a headmaster, having done his PhD in history .. I am going have so much fun with him when I show him this .. lol many thanks. Julie
Goodness how am I ever going to repay you GF ladies, for all the research that so many of you have done for me lately..

Julie, I hope your sister is not too exhausted and that this gives them both a lift.

I don't know if this is your couple or not but the date is early enough.

She must have been named after Henry's mother.
