yes, confusing indeed. It might help if I could find her on the 41 but maybe not as her age could be way out on that.

I need to get that possible death cert I think and hope that her age is correct on it.

Rosie Knees 15-04-11 11:04

oh! duh! just realised I've been serching her maiden name on the 41

Found her and she's aged 45 so she's been rounded up or down. How very efficient of the census taker;(

Ammanda Schutz 15-04-11 17:41

Good find. Does this help you at all?

Ammanda Schutz 15-04-11 17:44

Oh, meant to add that there was a baptism for an Elizabeth daughter of Richard and Ann. Assume she was sister of Ann. Do you think Ann could have been baptized twice, one in 1796 and again in 1800? It would help if it was the same Ann.

Rosie Knees 16-04-11 10:47

the 41 census doesn't really help.

The only way of knowing if both baptisms were the same Ann would be to look a the parish records and that would only be conclusive if Richard's occupation was something other than Ag Lab lol.

You never know, he might have been a judge!
