The marriage is on FreeREG and gives his parish of residence as Scarcliffe, Derbyshire. Witnesses Jos Tarleton and John Pitchfork.

I'm sure I've had a look for him before, not sure that the baptism and the death reg you have are correct. I'll see if I can find some old threads about him...

borobabs 07-11-12 15:38

I thought I had checked and double checked I hadnt posted before sorry

kiterunner 07-11-12 15:45

Okay, looking at the thread for Francis's wife Mary, it looks likely that Francis died before 1841 and is not the one who died in Nottingham in 1850:
Mary Unwin

I don't know how you know he was born in Nottinghamshire or how you know he is the one baptised at Worksop? It looks as though there were Revells at Scarcliff for decades before Francis and Mary's marriage, and quite a few Francis Revells in Derbyshire to sort out.

kiterunner 07-11-12 15:48

Sorry, I didn't mean you had a TO4G thread about him already, Babs, he just rang a bell. I expect I've looked at the marriage in the parish registers before, for instance.

This info has come from lady who has done large Revill tree I dont think her stuff is very reliable Kate thats why I wanted the threads up so I knew I had right people

Margaret in Burton 07-11-12 18:24

That death in 1850 is for a 4 month old child according to the NBI.

Margaret in Burton 07-11-12 18:25

My advise Babs would be NEVER to copy other peoples trees, they are invariably wrong.

borobabs 07-11-12 18:38

Yes Marg I had my doubts that why I posted this thread , I never trust them always ??? above them should have put them with the posts to be honest

borobabs 07-11-12 18:41
