Date and place of birth - 26 May 1801, St Giles Cripplegate, London
Names of parents - Thomas Hodges and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown)
Date and place of baptism - 12 Jul 1801, St Giles Cripplegate, London
Details of each of his or her marriages -
1) William Matthews, 24 Dec 1818, St Lukes, Old St, Finsbury (by licence, father named on marriage record)
2) William Henry House, 4 Jun 1838, St John the Baptist, Hoxton, Middlesex

Banns were called in January 1831 @ St Mary Stoke Newington, Middlesex between Esther and a John Turbefield. The marriage never took place even though they went on to have three children in 1831, 1832 and 1835. I've updated Esther in green. Two of the three children that she had with John Turbefield were baptised as the children of William House and I had always assumed that they were his. Not sure how to record this in my tree as the children used the name House throughout their lives.

Still can't find her in 1881 nor can I find a burial.

Here is her admission to Hackney Union Workhouse 3 Apr 1882:

Discharged the following day. Next of kin is daughter Caroline Wheeler, 20 Hertford Rd, Kingsland.

And another admission, 11 Jul 1885, discharged 26 Oct 1885 to the infirmary:

Thanks Kite - I hadn't seen those, I always forget the Admission and Discharge Records for some reason. Caroline Wheeler was my 2 x gt grandmother.
