It looks from the 1841/51 census that by that time he had remarried to a Rebecca. That might be Rebecca Read who married an Elias Trowbridge at St George Hanover Square in 1828, according to several submitted entries. Certainly the Elias who appears on the 1841/51 census has children born in London and there is a matching baptism for his son Elias (mum Rebecca) in 1829 at All Souls, Westminster in the Ancestry LMA records.

Hmmm....maybe there are two Elias Trowbridges as I see there is a submitted baptism for a George Trowbridge, mother Elizabeth, in 1831 which is after the marriage of Elias to Rebecca. However, as it's a submitted entry, I can't be sure of it's accuracy.

Thanks for looking, Merry.
That is the marriage for Elias and Elizabeth. They emigrated to NSW and arrived March 1, 1839 at Sydney so they were not in England for the 1841 Census.
There were over 100 members of the Horder family, and the families they married, who left Donhead St Mary when assisted immigration began C1838.

Ah right - that makes sense! lol
