There a three documents on Ancestry for the navy records for a Simeon Ruby for:-

1845-1855 Crimean War - ship Belleisle

I hadn't seen those navy records before. There was a nephew with the same name in the navy as well, but I'll get them anyway.

By the way I noticed another Ruby family with a son named Rueben I don't know if they are related but there are Navy records for a Rueben Ruby too on Ancestry. They're unusual names in so much they're not common or used a lot.

Yep Maggie Rueben is mine as well. I must do more on this family.

Simeon was my one hope for a pirate...........I thought Simeon Ruby seemed like such a good pirate name.....lol
