Ahh checking out dates now I have them and it must be did branch of family as his daughter Elizabeth wasnt born till 1808 and I have his wife dying in 1863

The man in the newspaper report is called Thomas, but this thread is about John.

On the 1851 census, John Callaby age 66 gives his birthplace as Docking, so I'm just wondering why you say he was born in King's Lynn?

kiterunner 16-09-12 18:04

FamilySearch shows his date of burial as 8 Jul 1851 Docking. I'll see if I can view the image to check the date is correct.

Yes, burial 8th July 1851, age 67. (Image no 76 of the Docking PR burials.)

The marriage is image no 90 of the Docking Archdeacon's Transcripts: John Callaby & Ann Holmes both single Persons of this Parish were married in this Church by Banns the 18th of July 1803, witnesses Thos Callaby & Thos Bird. (Thos Bird is a witness on nearly all the marriages.)
