Sue, you are obviously descended from this lady.

When was her son from whom you are descended born?
I ask because she would have been 48 when she married.
Was her son born to another father?

This is them:

1851 Census
MOLLOY, Edward Head Married M 67 1784 General Surveyer Ireland
MOLLOY, Esther Wife Married F 60 1791 Dress Maker Bath Somersetshire
MOLLOY, Louis Son M 19 1832 Servant Stevenage Hertfordshire
MOLLOY, Robert Son M 14 1837 Assistant Of Home London Middlesex

Aha, the IGI has the marriage as:

03 OCT 1830 Stevenage, Hertford, England

So the two boys are hers.

you beat me to it!,

As I was typing it up, I did think she was a bit old, but 41 and 51 censuses suggest she really was that old!

It's Robert that in in my line

I think she was 38/39 and could have been 45 when she had Robert.

Still a bit old, but not impossible
