Norfolk Parish Registers - findmypast

I'm not sure why they have done this as they are already available free on FamilySearch.

If anybody finds a parish on there which is not on FamilySearch, please post the details on here.

Findmypast now have transcriptions linked to the images, but I haven't managed to find out whether their index is complete yet or not. Anyone know?

Norfolk Baptisms

Norfolk Marriages

Norfolk Banns ("over 451 records", according to their blog? Some mistake, surely?!)

Norfolk Burials

Probably using the same source as family search, as they don't have my favourite parish there.

Just to clarify, what I meant by asking if their index is complete was just the question of whether they have completely indexed the images that they have available, or if it is just the first part of it?

"The Genealogist" website announced a while ago that they had an agreement with Norfolk Record Office "to make Norfolk parish and other historical records available online for the first time" but they have only completed part of their index so far, so if FMP have completed theirs already, The Genealogist's claim is wrong.

Very difficult to tell whether it is complete. Certainly representative, but the images are very low resolution.

It actually looks very much like what is on freereg. I know fmp have just signed a new deal with ffhs, I wonder if they have done something similar with freereg? Depending on the source of the transcriptions.

No, FMP aren't getting transcriptions from FreeREG at the moment.

They have added the BT's now, and I think from their description it also includes the AT's:

Baptisms
Marriages
Burials

All searchable.

I don't think Docking is there, well not all of it I searched for some that I know should be there between 1811 to 1820, although they list Docking.

There won't be ATs at that date. The survival rate too seems much more patchy than the earlier period (having looked for records the hard way!)
