Anyone used Family Echo?
 

I'd never heard of it until my 12 year old grand daughter told me they are using it at school.

I've just looked at the front page and it doesn't ring any bells so perhaps new.

Just wondered if anyone had used it or is using it and thoughts??

I use Legacy and will continue, but interested why the school is using this one.

I haven't used it, but I see that their Terms of Use require you to be 14 or over, so I wonder why they are using it at school when the pupils are under 14.

Interesting. I was too lazy to go even that far.

Bell is year seven so most are between 11 and 13.

It doesn't seem a very secure way of sharing. Invitees have the right to edit the tree, issue their own invitations and publish the data.

Gillian...it seems a very clunky program as well. She doesn't have to put much info into it and photos can be fake. It's for her Indonesian class.

I'm curious Libby - is your granddaughter learning Indonesian or is this part of her geography classes?

She studies Indonesian as her second language Gillian.

Most schools offer Indonesian, Chinese or Japanese.

Thanks Libby, that's interesting. I don't know of any schools here offering Indonesian.

It's actually quite an easy one to learn, Gillian. Very similar to Malaysian as well. Seeing as there are over 200million Indonesians on our northern doorstep, it makes sense.
