You looked for Isabella Libby. She is the stumbling block. We thought the name might be spelt Cowen - children are baptised as Cohen all seven of them between 1832 and 1848. James dies 1855 and Isabella Cohen marries (mother and daughter) and then a husband dies and she remarries but not sure if it is mother or daughter. I think I need to bite the bullet and buy about 5 certs to sort them. If I can sort Isabella I can then hopefully find her mother etc. A good nudge to try and get her sorted lol

Have you got a marriage certificate or record for Isabella and Mr James Cohen?

Elizabeth, judging by the fact that James Cohen who was married to Isabella was posted up in TO2G, we are now looking for Isabella's mother. Not much chance of that until we have Isabella's maiden name!

Julie, I don't suppose one of James and Isabella's children could be James Cowan who died 16 Mar 1886 Queensland, parents James Cowan and Isabella Gill? I don't know his age at death though.
