Notes (partly copied from thread about Elizabeth Biddle)

Unfortunately, North is a common name in the Rothley/Mountsorrel area.

There is a possible baptism for my great-grandfather William North in Rothley in 1780, parents William and Mary (IGI, extracted). There's also an IGI submitted entry for the same date and place, giving the parents' names as William John North and Mary Haywood.

William appears in the 1841 and 1851 censuses with a wife Elizabeth, whose birth is given as Mountsorrel South in 1851, so I assume this is Elizabeth Biddle in view of the abode given in the 1829 marriage entry.

Just to complicate things, there was another couple called William (1801) and Elizabeth (1806) North living in Rothley in 1841 who, like my William and Elizabeth, had their children's births registered at the Rothley baptist church.
