Sarah Gomm

Name - Sarah "Sally" Gomm

Date and place of birth about 1781 Pishill, Oxfordshire

Names of parents / Date and place of baptism - Her parents were probably John and Sarah Gomm of Pishill. The baptism registers for Pishill from the late 1770s and early 1780s and also the Bishop's Transcripts are incomplete. But there seems to be only one couple named Gomm having children in Pishill around that time. Dates and names of children fit with Sarah's parents being John and Sarah.

Details of each of his or her marriages - 19 Sep 1801 Bix, Oxfordshire to William Saunders (1776-1852). They had seven daughters and two sons.

Occupation(s) - in 1861, Sarah appears as a victualler.

Addresses where they lived - 1801-1851 Nuffield, Oxfordshire. In 1861, in nearby Highmoor, Oxon with her sister

Date, place and cause of death 11th March 1862 at Highmoor, aged 81. Cause General dropsy 3 months.

Date and place of burial. Haven't found one yet - there doesn't appear to be a stone in any of the likely churches.
