New DNA sample required

I bought an ancestry DNA kit for my Grandmother earlier in the year. Was really easy to do and the results came back within a couple of weeks.
In the summer, I ordered my dad a kit. Waited weeks and weeks after sending it back and then got an email saying a new sample was required and to order a new kit.
We ordered a new kit and sent it off. More and more waiting and then got the same email saying that a new sample was required.

Dad assured me he did it all properly and followed the instructions to the letter.

We have now ordered another replacement kit.

Does anyone else have experience of this?

Thanks.

Yes, my son-in-law's father was tested and they waited an age for the results, only to be told he had to do the test again. I haven't hear any more since.

Thanks Elizabeth. Fingers crossed that third time lucky it is.

When I sent my Grandma's in, everything seemed to happen so quickly. With my dad's, it seems to take ages and then it doesn't work. Maybe that is why it is taking ages - he has dodgy DNA?! Ha!

Third time lucky! It finally worked.

Yayyy! I'm very happy for you, Tom. Good luck, now, mining all the data.

You must be relieved. Have fun when you get the results.
