I wonder if she was Seraphina Don Cler who married a Mr Hunter? When he died/ went away, she reverted to her maiden name. Charlotte would therefore be a child of the marriage.
OC Added to say - Kate's post #40 mentions 3 Hunter children on board with Harriot. Could they be Charlotte's siblings or half siblings if Charlotte was a child of a Don Cler/ Hunter marriage? OC Last edited by Olde Crone; 12-07-18 at 21:07.
