Ancestry cookies
I manage several Ancestry accounts.
Waiting for pages to load, I have noticed all the different cookies grabbing a slice of my action. So, I have moved my settings to no targetted ads. Will this speed things up? Do I have to do it for every account for it to work?

I don't know the answer to that, but I deleted all my ancestry cookies yesterday and it fixed the problem of the new beta profiles not loading. I never realised I could change the settings to stop targetted ads, even though I have noticed "waiting for Pinterest" etc at the bottom of the screen and wondered why. Might try it!

Never noticed myself - observation skills nil lol.
Will have to have a look - noticed ancestry was really slow yesterday.

I didn't notice much difference after going through and turning them off.

If you are running Firefox as your web browser you can use an add-on called Ad Blocker. This helps to speed up all sites, although I have noticed a few sites are starting to have ads, so they are getting around the blockers.

I think: My account, site preferences and scrolling down to the bottom, where they have privacy settings. But I could be misremembering.

I can't find it anywhere. I'll look again another day, things are hiding from me recently.
