Royal Hospital, Chelsea: pensioners' discharge documents, foreign regiments 1816-1817 (WO122)
War Office: Imperial Yeomanry, soldiers' documents, South African War 1899-1902 (WO128)
Royal Hospital, Chelsea: documents of soldiers awarded deferred pensions 1838-1896 (WO131)
Royal Hospital, Kilmainham: pensioners' discharge documents 1783-1822 (WO119)

A lot of these records only have an initial rather than first name and may not show year of birth, something to bear in mind when searching.

Thanks for posting this Kate. Just found my 2 x great grandfather in the WO121 series & now know his enlistment & discharge dates. Hopefully having those might lead to more records for him.

Very chuffed to have discounted one of two John Puseys of Uffington, Berks as my ancestor thanks to these records. Alas, the one I've discounted was the one with a baptism but at least I know:-)

Have also found a brother of my great x3 grandfather who was in the army between the 1861 and 1871 census when he turns up as a warden at HMP Pentonville so it's good to fill the missing years in.
